This is the oldest settlement ever found in the city and was discovered during archaeological survey.

A wall in the village, which is estimated to be 7,000 years old, was uncovered in phase 5 of excavations.

Fars Province and Shiraz city are home to many archaeological sites dating back to the  Achaemenids, including the UNESCO-registered Persepolis.

The discovery of this village provides a rare glimpse into the lives of the people who lived in the region thousands of years ago.

It is hoped that further excavations will reveal more about the history and culture of this ancient community.
